The promise

One window onto the broker, and every message that crosses it.

Connect, subscribe, watch, publish. Then import the connections you already have. The window uses the system WebView, not a second browser, and the engine keeps every socket in Rust.

What it does

The useful parts, done properly.

No chart builder. No workflow canvas. No second browser. A client for the work you actually do at a broker.

  1. The stream stays fast.

A virtualised list holds fifty thousand messages without slowing down. Pause it, filter by topic or payload, pin the topic that matters, then jump back to live.

    Buffer
    50,000 messages

    Rate per topic
  2. MQTT 5, without the ceremony.

3.1.1 and 5.0 over TCP, TLS and WebSocket. User properties, content type, response topic, correlation data and expiry sit in the publish panel, not in a JSON blob.

  3. Everything stays local.

Connections, buffers and a seven-day session log live on the machine. Passwords go to the OS keyring, with a 0600 file as fallback. No account, no sync, no dashboard.

The app

MQTT Deck sends anonymous usage analytics and crash reports. They are on by default; one switch in Settings turns them off. It never sends a broker address, topic, payload or credential. There is no account.
